Thames Ditton Regatta was established in 1948. It remains a very popular event in the British rowing calendar. Despite increasing demand for multi-lane racing, the regatta still attracts top crews from schools, clubs and universities from around the UK. In excess of 250 entries are received each year. Racing takes place upstream on the 1000-metre course that stretches alongside Hampton Court Palace and ends just downstream of the River Mole.
2012 Regatta CANCELLED
With regret, we have had to cancel the regatta because of the current and predicted stream conditions. Thank you for entering, and we hope to see you in 2013.

2012 Regatta - entries now closed
The regatta is now heavily oversubscribed, and so entries have been closed 14 hours early. It will not be possible to accommodate all entries (and some events have not met the minimum requirement of 4 crews to run). We will be in touch with coaches and entries secretaries tomorrow, Saturday 5 May, with questions and decisions. Naturally we are also concerned about the river conditions, and will be making a decision on whether the regatta can go ahead on Wednesday 9 May at the earliest. Please DO NOT PAY FOR ENTRIES BY CREDIT CARD now! This incurs credit card charges which we cannot reclaim if the regatta is cancelled and we issue refunds.

2012 Regatta - changes to events
The regatta will run much as it did in 2011 with a few minor changes:
- J14 2x has been introduced (with a plate event) for open and women.
- Masters events are now 4x and 2x (both open and women) as these have proved the most popular. They are timetabled so that competitors can double up.
- All J15 events are now scheduled for morning or afternoon divisions so that competitors can manage their doubling up.
- Open J16 1x has been moved to the morning so that competitors can now double up in J16 4x and 1x.

2011 Regatta - draw available
Many thanks for all of your entries: we have 242 crews racing in 40 events. The draw and timetable are available here.
Crews from not based on the Environmant Agency-controlled non-tidal Thames: Please remember that all boats racing at the regatta must display a Boat Identification Number comprising your 3-letter Club code and a 3-digit unique identifier, and it is your responsibility to have this in place, not the regatta's. See the British Rowing website if you need more information on this. As we are the first regatta of the season on EA waters, it wouldn't be surprising if EA inspecors choose to visit. Note: British Rowing recommend that if you have only purchased your licenses in the last month, you should bring a print out of the email they sent you confirming payment for your license, to prove that you have a license as the EA don't have real-time access to the BR database of licensed boats.
