Entries Guide
ENTRIES CLOSE AT 12noon ON SATURDAY 8 MAY 2010
- Thames Ditton Regatta is held under the rules of British Rowing and conforms
to the British Rowing Water Safety Code, now known as ‘Row Safe: A Guide to Good Practice in
Rowing’. This can be found in the 2010 Almanack and are also available on the British Rowing
web site at http://www.britishrowing.org/watersafety.
- Racing will not start until 8.30am, and the total number of entries will be limited to 240. Doubling-up
will therefore not be allowed in J13, J14 or J15 events, but there will be a Plate event for
first round losers in as many J13, J14 and J15 events as possible. If entries are still oversubscribed,
doubling-up will not be allowed in J16 events and above, and events with fewer than four entries shall not be run.
- Please indicate on the entry form where crews are doubling-up or boat sharing, order of priority, and if
a crew is prepared to race in a higher status event should their original not take place.
- Under no circumstances will the timetable be changed after the draw. Any likely change of status should be noted on the entry form.
- All races are upstream over a distance of approximately 1000 metres with a free start. The course starts by Thames Ditton Island
and finishes just downstream of the River Mole. The course will be buoyed.
- Please note that there will be no parking for cars on the regatta site. Towing vehicles and trailers only will be allowed access.
